Huge Backlog of Social Security Disability Claims

Arthritis patients who no longer are able to work can apply for Social Security disability benefits -- providing they meet the eligibility requirements. They also can expect to wait an average of 106 days for a decision. About two-thirds of applicants are denied on the first try....
